Cheshire Brewers introduced themselves to the North Wales Basketball Association with a 78-58 victory over Deeside Dragons.

The game started scrappily, with the Brewers still working out some kinks having only finalised their squad in recent weeks and the Dragons starting at full throttle.

But on the back of a 24-point haul from MVP Pete Arden, the Brewers began to pull away. Having led by two after the first quarter, by half-time they were up by 11.

In the third the Dragons responded but were unable to prevent the home side extending their lead slightly but in the final stanza the Brewers put the game to bed, pulling out to a convincing 20-point victory.
