NWBA: Caernarfon Kings 48 Cheshire Brewers 81

The Cheshire Brewers officially claimed the North Wales Basketball Association Regular Season league title last night at Caernarfon Kings.

The Brewers needed to win the game to ensure the title but player/head coach Tom Griffiths still put faith in a number of role players who stepped in and were able to deliver the victory.

The home side battled hard and at times asked questions of the league leaders, staging a spirited third-quarter fightback. But led by a 26-point haul from Byron Ward and assured work in the guard positions by Jake Cooke and Griffiths, the Brewers were able to enjoy the long trip back as champions, securing them home-court advantage in the playoffs.

Brewers MVP was awarded to Tom Griffiths, with the Kings MVP going to Jordan Jones.
