NWBA: Caernarfon Celts 62 Cheshire Brewers 77

16th October, 2016 | Archive, NWBA Regular Season | 0 comments

The #BrewersNation upped sticks and headed down the road to face Caernarfon Celts.

Both teams were familiar with each other having spent the summer playing a series of friendlies as part of their preparations.

But this was the first true contest in the league between the two sides, taking place at the Brailsford Centre in Bangor.

The home side started strongly but by the end of the first quarter the Brewers, fielding an experienced side, led 22-13 and were able to keep themselves in front for the remainder of the game to secure their second victory of the campaign.

The Brewers MVP was once more Pete Arden, who posted 21 points, while for the Celts Tatenda Shonhiwa took the MVP plaudits after a game-high 24 point haul.
