Brewers Basketball claimed the first silverware of the year as they won the North Wales Basketball Association Senior Cup.
At the neutral Holywell High School venue, they faced Deeside Dragons, led by their two big men Alan Duppa and Julien La Bass.
The Dragons came out hard and got into the Brewers, enjoying some success in challenging the pre-game favourites.
But the Brewers were patient and committed to their game plan. They applied high-energy defensive pressure and disciplined offensive sets to grind down their rivals and begin to stretch a lead.
Behind Aaron Rey’s LMC Lighting and Electrical MVP performance and 26-point haul, the Brewers stretched out their lead to take the trophy.
